Hello, thank you all for being here. If we haven’t met yet, I am Crazy Eddie and together we are BFFAR. Before we start, are there any political hopefuls here? Are there any sitting commissioners or council people here? Who are we? Who is BFFAR? We are bikers and non-bikers…the largest citizens advocate group in Volusia County. Why are we here? To show local government that we won’t back down and they have gotten the message…BFFAR is working.

Next month will be one year since many of us first gathered here in front of this courthouse. We said then we would be back and back and back till we filled this city. Last October we came back…and here we are, back again today -- larger, stronger and louder than ever -- thanks to all of you that were here then and thank all of you that have joined us since. You are the people that make us strong and give us the voice that we need to be heard…thank you. A lot has happened in a short year. We are a legal Florida non-profit group of citizens who care about our freedoms and the freedoms of each other -- freedom from government intrusion into our personal lives, freedom from improper code enforcement, freedom from them telling us how we can live work and play in our community, freedom from bogus police actions, illegal use of eminent domain, the attempted theft of our beaches. They thought we would never do it. We did and we are doing it as we speak here today. WE ARE STANDING TOGETHER…STANDING PROUD. And we will continue to do it. Applaud yourselves. You are showing our veterans that they are not dying in vain, you are showing the rest of Volusia County that we do care, and we will stand up and fight at home for what our veterans are dying for in Iraq and the other hellholes in this world. You are the people that make this a great country, not the developers, not the big money people, not the politicians that lied their way into office to serve their own best interest, not the special interest groups and judgmental minorities. It’s you, the real backbone of any community (and like a good parent interviewing your young daughter’s first date, we will interview our politicians…and like those first dates, they BETTER be pure of heart and with the best of intentions). Now for a quick look at what you did this past year:

With and without the help of our lawyers, we have beaten 2 bogus DUI’S, we have reversed 2 unlawful code enforcement violations, we have reversed 2 unlawful search and seizures, we have successfully defended two of our members in a bogus criminal action, we have helped save a member’s home from foreclosure, won 2 personal injury cases, one labor and employment law case and two other miscellaneous cases. WE HAVE BEEN SUCCESSFUL IN ALL OF THEM. We have one large lawsuit pending against a city and we are working on other similar cases as we speak. We have gotten the attention of every politician and would be politician that wants to get into office or stay in office. We have shown that we do care and are not just the cattle they thought we were. WE WON’T BACK DOWN!

That’s what you have done. And we have just begun to fight.

The August primaries are coming and we need to be ready. This is when we get our best chance to remove those in the county that are more interested in their our personal agendas and the personal interest of the people that bought them by paying for their last campaign. NO MORE URBAN SPRAWL, NO MORE DEALS, THEY WILL NOT SELL OUR RIGHTS ANY MORE. GET THE MESSAGE MR. AND MS. POLITICIAN.

We are wise to YOU. We must protect the future for our children and grandchildren. We will fight for our rights, at the polls and in the courts. We are in favor of a fair and just government and will take nothing less

If you don’t get anything else here today, take home with you a sense of pride in yourselves and what you have done to improve our quality of life in Volusia County…….our right to live work and play without fear of special interest government. And show our veterans past and present that we are proud of them and that their sacrifices are not in vain. For every one of us standing here today in the heat, there are thousands more of us that could not make it here today that are just as firm in our beliefs. So look out special interest. This is our county, our America and we are fighting for our constitution at home.
